Alpaca Fiber for Sale at Bisbee Farmers Market

Saturday, June 30th we will have alpaca fiber for sale at the Bisbee Farmers Market. Included will be washed royal baby, baby, superfine alpaca, and coarse alpaca. Prices will range between $.50 and $3.50 per ounce. DMAR Store will also have home spun sport weight yarn as well as mill manufactured yarn. We will even have custom made 100% alpaca knitted slippers for sale.

Fiber Work Day - June 10th

The SE Arizona fiber work day will be held at Square Top Ranch in Sonoita. Please contact Linda Wood at 520-455-4600 if you plan on attending. The day begins at 10 am and goes until we are through. Bring a bag lunch and Linda will provide desserts and drinks.

You must be a member of ABA, Alpaca Breeders of Arizona, to participate in the fiber pool. This year you have a choice of cable dress socks, sport weight yarn, and/or snowflake hats. If you ever wondered what to do with your alpaca fleece you just sheared here is the answer. All fleeces will be processed and manufactured in Canada. It is a commercial mill that can handle the amount of fiber we are sending. Don’t forget that the more we send the cheaper the cost.

So get your fiber out of the closet, under the bed, and out of the garage.
