Posted 15 April, 2007 in Alpaca General | No comments
Ok. The ad is out in this week’s addition of Mountain View for the first annual alpaca shearing festival and barbeque hosted by Desert Mountain Alpaca Ranch and Thunder Creek Alpaca Company. We have already begun to accept reservations for the free barbeque. Call now to reserve your spot. Next week we will have a press release in the Mountain View.
We hope you come out and spend the day with us. Great educational experience for all. You’ll be amazed to see what can be made from their luxurious fiber.
Moms Club of Sierra Vista Tour
Posted 1 April, 2007 in Alpaca General | No comments
Unfortunately we had to reschedule the Moms Club of Sierra Vista Tour that was to be held in March to Friday, April 20th at 10 AM due to rain storms. The rain started on Wednesday and by Thursday night the entire ranch was beginning to look like one huge mud pit. Fortunately the stalls are all dry, so the alpacas remained dry as well.
We look forward to having the moms club here and are hoping for the weather cooperates this time around.
Don’t forget to bring your cameras for Carina, Apollo, and Diego are all quite the PR alpacas.
Articles on Alpacas - Keeping Alpacas Safe

This month’s articles on alpacas is Keeping Alpacas Safe. Owning alpacas means having to think about keeping predators away. This article is mostly about what we did to protect our alpacas. Of course there are other things that can be done, but hopefully I can get your mind thinking.
